After many years of pursuing individual projects and various musical avenues, vocalist Typhanie Monique and guitarist Neal Alger are joining forces again to investigate material from their first two releases in this special performance. Intrinsic (2004) and In This Room (2007) established Typhanie and Neal as a unique and powerful duo on the Chicago jazz scene. The duo’s shared love for jazz standards, classic R&B/Soul, pop/rock, and other genres has allowed them to bring an eclecticism that’s refreshing among voice-guitar partnerships. Like the original releases, Typhanie and Neal will be joined by several featured guests in these two sets at Fulton Street Collective
