The Chicago Yestet is a band with 7 horns, rhythm section, some spoken word, and a great vocalist. We play original music that all grooves and the band includes some of the best and busiest musicians in Chicago….With a mind to social consciounsness, our music is influenced by John Coltrane, Art Blakey, Bob Brookmeyer, The Beatles, Donny Hathaway, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, J.S. Bach, P.D.Q Bach, Thad Jones, Spike Jones, Neil Young, Lucinda Williams and many others.
