Evon J. Sams is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, teacher, and artist from Rockford, Illinois. Evon’s unique approach to music is a blend of classical music, jazz, world music, R&B, and hip hop, among many others. These influences come together to create thoughtful, soulful music that permeates through his various instruments and compositional voice. Evon plays multiple instruments including, soprano, alto, tenor, baritone saxophone, piano, bass, flute, clarinet, and bass clarinet. He was formerly the Director of Bands and Class Piano at Jefferson High School and currently serves as the Director of Bands at Sauk Elementary in Richton Park.
