Chicago photographer Gavin Gillan has spent his adult life on a pilgrimage through his hometown’s streets, alleys, and shoreline. The city reveals itself to him and he captures what it tells him with his camera. Gavin’s work is at the crossroads of cityscape and abstraction. He is interested in minimalism, distortion and reflection.
This installation is about water, because water is life. We are made of water. Much of the world has experienced droughts that have killed and reshaped our environments and communities. The fluidity of water reminds us that nothing lasts forever.
Showing starts at 7PM.
