He came up through the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s Civic Jazz Program and Michigan State University’s jazz program….Critics often note his lyrical touch, thoughtful arrangements, and dynamic ensemble interplay, drawing stylistic comparisons to masters like Hank Jones and Tommy Flanagan.
