Irene Adriano
Biographical Info I am a native Chicagoan who grew up on the Northwest side of the city and transplanted to a northern suburb. Always a studious kid, I focused on traditional classes in high school and college but have always been a creative as long as I can remember. I took my first photography class in 2000 at the Jane Addams Photography Center and continued as a darkroom instructor. When the program ended, I became part of the founding members of what used to be the Chicago Photography Center. Since 2004, and the birth of my oldest son, I’ve made photographs sporadically but have never lost the ability to find beauty in the every day. Group Exhibitions: 2004: Artist Fund Raiser, Chicago Photography Center, Chicago, IL 2002: Within Sight Summer 2002, Jane Addams Center Photography, Chicago, IL 2002: Within Sight Winter 2002, Jane Addams Center Photography, Chicago, IL 2001: Within Sight Winter 2001, Jane Addams Center Photography, Chicago, IL

Short Description The images I make are based on my mood – sometimes I shoot landscapes and sometimes I shoot people and urban grit. I love focusing on details and the shapes that shadows create.
