Biographical Info cara newman is a collage artist working in chicago. she has a BFA in Dance from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. she will stop using the third person after this sentence. i am currently exploring textures and movement within natural and domestic spaces. i love a newspaper, old book, or library hold slip as a starting point in process. i collect and pile scraps, resulting in a dense ecosystem of outgrowth. intermittent forms create familiarity within my world building, creating a tangible, kinesthetic experience for the viewer.
