Nadezda Sharapova
Biographical Info I am a multidisciplinary artist shaped by life across four continents, where each culture, language, and experience has left an imprint on my creative vision. Born near the North Pole and raised in a small industrial town, I sought to understand the world beyond my origins—studying business in China, working in Kenya and Turkey, and now pursuing a career in mining exploration in the U.S. My art is deeply influenced by these journeys, merging history, psychology, and cultural identity into a distinctive visual language. By integrating elements from European, Slavic, Greek, Middle Eastern, and Far Eastern traditions, I create paintings that explore the emotional and symbolic ties that connect us across borders.

Short Description My art is a fusion of cultures, stories, and emotions, reflecting the complexity of human nature and society. I work primarily with acrylic, oil, and watercolor, using layered textures, bold contrasts, and universal symbols to create pieces that feel both deeply personal and widely relatable. I explore themes of urbanism, mythology, human psychology, and social struggles, drawing from my experiences of living in vastly different environments—from industrial landscapes to historic cities, from wealth to poverty. My paintings do not impose a single narrative; instead, they invite viewers to find their own connections, their own interpretations. I believe art is not just a reflection of an individual—it is a living dialogue that continues beyond the artist, evolving through the emotions and experiences of those who engage with it. My goal is to create work that resonates across cultures, across histories, across lives—because at the core, we all share the same fears, dreams, and desires.

Art01 Caption “Fallen” Oil on Canvas, 16 x 16 inches A reflection on the moral choices we face every day—the sweetness of joy, the weight of responsibility. The eternal dialogue between Dionysian indulgence and Apollonian order, pleasure and discipline, chaos and control. But who defines morality? Who decides what is right and what is wrong? Will you judge, or will you be judged?

Art02 Caption “Last Breath” Oil on Canvas, 24 x 16 inches Suspended between presence and absence, between breath and stillness. Is this the soul leaving the body, or the weight of memory returning? Is it an ending, or the beginning of something we cannot yet understand?
Art03
Art03 Caption “Lovely” Oil on Canvas, 20 x 12 inches The longing to be seen, to be loved. We reshape ourselves, mask our wounds, hoping for acceptance. But in the pursuit of love, do we remain ourselves—or become what others want to see?
Art04
Art04 Caption “Legacy” Oil on Canvas, Triptych, 29 x 48 inches each A longing for home, a tribute to what was left behind. This piece was created to order by a refugee, forced to leave his homeland under terrible circumstances. Each brushstroke carries the weight of displacement, memory, and longing, depicting not just landscapes, but the deep-rooted connection to heritage and identity. The central figure stands as a guardian of the past, surrounded by the land that once felt like home—etched in tradition, yet now distant. When everything is taken away, what remains? Memory, culture, the stories we refuse to let go.
