The evening will feature live painting from visual artist TBA
In addition to earning Carole King a Grammy for Album of the Year, Tapestry was a massive commercial success and a record-setting work on the Billboard charts. King wrote or co-wrote every one of the album’s songs, several of which have inspired and been recorded by other artists. These songs have been consistently celebrated in every medium of pop culture, helping to cement Tapestry as one of the most culturally influential records of all time.
A little more than two years after first performing Neil Young’s After the Gold Rush, Audrey Q (and friends) will be presenting Carole King’s Tapestry in its entirety, reimagining the album with three cellists, drums, and vocals. Audrey Q is a Chicago-based cellist who has toured the U.S. and Canada with the hit musical Hamilton as well as legendary rock band The Who; she also has three EPs of her own songs, which she has performed at venues including Uncommon Ground, Montrose Saloon, and Northman Riverwalk.
