Tenor saxophonist born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico and educated in Boston, New Orleans and Chicago bringing these diverse influences in his playing and composing. He will be featured in July at Chicago’s Latin Jazz Festival in Humboldt Park in July
Fulton Street Collective in Chicago and Prairie Moon restaurant, 1635 Chicago Avenue in Evanston, are proud to offer affordable, top notch jazz every Wednesday night from 9PM – 11PM in downtown Evanston. Prairie Moon is a favorite restaurant in Evanston serving authentic regional American cuisine and is known as Evanston’s original craft beer bar.
Every Wednesday a different jazz group will play from 9PM-11PM. There is an affordable $7 cover, which goes entirely to the musicians and to support Fulton Street Collective.

JUNE 1: Heisenberg Uncertainty Players
A Chicago institution, and a distinct anomaly – a 17-piece big band performs at venues like The Jazz Showcase, Wire, Fulton Street Collective, Martyrs’, Fitzgerald’s, and WGN-TV. They were nominated for Best Jazz Band in Chicago Reader’s Best of Chicago 2017 and 2019 Polls.
JUNE 8: Kyle Madsen Trio
Led by chameleonic saxophonist/multi-reedist Kyle Madsen, the KMT reflects the diversity of Chicago, and it’s wide-ranging music scene–mix of worldwide music from the past and present–from post bop jazz, modern avant garde, and R&B hits are explored by this instrumental trio.
JUNE 15: Scott Burns Trio

JUNE 22: Quentin Coaxum Quartet
Trumpeter Coaxum has been a featured performer at The Chicago Jazz Festival, Hyde Park Jazz Festival, and University of Chicago’s Logan Arts Jazz Series. He has played with, including including Solange Knowles, Jimmy Heath, Robin Eubanks, Victor Goines, and many more.
