Neil Carson’s Day-Glo Freaks are a freakishly large, freakishly talented band bringing the music of Steely Dan to life, one record at a time, in all its intricate grooving glory. Led by saxophonist/arranger Neil Carson and featuring 13 other local Chicago killers, the Freaks have previously performed the albums Aja, Countdown to Ecstasy, and Royal Scam in their entirety to glowing approval, thanks to Neil Carson’s carefully crafted arrangements and the band members’ combined 200+ years of playing experience.

On Aug 18 the Freaks will be performing the Gaucho album live at Fulton Street Collective, immediately followed by a set of The Dan’s greatest hits (and some more obscure gems).
