Sam Pilnick’s Nonet Project is a new and exciting large ensemble led by Music Educator and Saxophonist Sam Pilnick. Stemming from his original Quartet, The Nonet Project provides Sam Pilnick and his band of Chicago musicians the ability to perform original compositions and arrangements that derive from the traditions of modern jazz. This group is heavily influenced by Sam’s love of big band music, small group improvisations and his desire to explore different timbral experiences, while utilizing traditional jazz instruments.
